*2 Approximate time from when the shutter button is fully pressed from focus lock until the image starts to be recorded (monitor screen and flash off).
Direct power on mode access helps to make image shooting and viewing operation faster and more convenient. Sliding the lens cover open turns on the camera and directly enters the REC mode. A PLAY mode power button puts you directly into the PLAY mode for image viewing.
The EX-V7 supports the SDHC standard for SD memory cards with capacity greater than 2 GB. The camera also has 11.6 MB of flash memory on board, so images can be recorded even when a memory card is not loaded.
The triple self-timer records three consecutive images, so you can select the one you want to keep. This means less chance of missing your chance at capturing that magic moment.
You can turn on display of monitor screen gridlines when you need them. The grid helps to compose images and helps to ensure that you are holding the camera straight.
Continuous shutter, EV shift, White balance, ISO sensitivity, Self-timer parameters can be assigned to the control key. After that, operation of the controller key changes the setting of the assigned parameter.
One of 10 different languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean) can be selected for on-screen menu text.
World Time is convenient for international travel. Simply select one of the 162 cities (32 time zones) and you can keep track of the current time in your home time zone and other time zones.
The on-screen RGB histogram lets you check exposure for each individual color, which supports fine adjustment of exposure to ensure you get exactly the color you want.
Exposure Adjustment
A histogram lopsided to the left indicates underexposure, while a rightward histogram indicates overexposure. A centered histogram indicates correct exposure.
* During movie recording, a single-value (non-RGB) histogram can be displayed.
*

The histogram cannot be displayed during movie playback.

Timestamp inserts the date and time that the shutter button is pressed into each image.
* The stamped date cannot be edited.
* Digital zoom is not supported while date stamping is turned on.
