The new image analysis feature of the EXILIM Engine 2.0 analyzes the content of the image and detects movement by the subject. In addition to the movement of the subjects face from the front, but also profiles and even the movement of pets can be detected. This advanced feature follows the subject movement and performs Auto Tracking AF for high-level focusing whole a subject is on the move. New movement analysis technology automatically selects ISO sensitivity in accordance with subject movement and sets the optimum shutter speed. High sensitivity and high shutter speed combined to minimize image blur due to subject movement. When the camera does not detect any movement, it lowers ISO sensitivity for beautiful images every time. EXILIM Engine 2.0 supports the next-generation H.264 movie codec. The H.264 codec provides either more recording time at the same image quality as MPEG-4 format, or higher quality images for movies of the same length as MPEG-4 format. Even though these new models are packed with more powerful features and functions, they still maintain the low power operation for which EXILIM has become famous.
