EXILIM PRO has an external flash terminal, which can be used for connection of a separately available external flash unit. Pressing the shutter button fires the connected flash unit. EXILIM PRO comes with a card type compact remote controller. This makes it possible to release the shutter, perform zoom operations, and perform menu operations from a distance.

	EXILIM PRO has an orientation sensor that detects how you are holding the camera when you record an image. Recording an image also records data about the camera orientation, so the image is automatically positioned correctly when you display the image. This feature is very useful when you are viewing images on a TV screen or as part of a slideshow. .Even images recorded using portrait orientation are positioned automatically in the correct orientation when you display them. Images are normally stored using JPEG format, but you can also save an uncompressed TIFF format version, if you want.
