Danish Post is the leading company of post conveyance in Denmark. Actually the history of Danish Post goes back to year 1624. Today more and more of the traditional post business is moved from dedicated post offices to so-called post shops which typically is located in grocery shops. From these shops they are able to handle all types of post business including sales of post material. There is around 600 post shops in Denmark and about 200 of these uses a cash register besides their main PC system.

Locus and the dealer has developed a solution which make use of the FTP functionality and they are able to collect reports from the QT.
What was the problem for Danish Post?
Their existing competitor system was very old and needed to be replaced by other equipment. Distributor got a request from a company called Locus which is a leading supplier of IT solutions to many different lines of business and long time service partner of Danish Post. Locus has seen Casio products at the distributor's website and started negotiations.
Because of the size of the order it has to be published as an EU-tender where we were fighting against other manufactures in order to get this order from Danish Post. Distributor handed over the commercial part to the dealer and together with Locus they developed a solution which fulfilled all the demands from Danish Post. This solution together with the long time co-operation between dealer, Locus and Danish Post ensured Casio the order.

Distributor started to prepare the full Casio package:
QT-6000 touch terminal, thermal printer, drawer, EFT terminal and customer display + FTP server solution functionality. It ended up as described above under "System configuration"
How did Danish Post select CASIO QT-6000?
Casio together with Locus presented a professional and carefully prepared solution which met all the requirements from the tender. Danish Post knew Locus and their skills very well from their long time partnership. These two facts made the difference even if the competitor's solution was cheaper than Casio.
Improvement of customer job after using CASIO QT-6000
They went from traditionally cash register to touch terminal which made the daily use more simple and fast from day one. The FTP-solution ensure fast and safe transfer of daily reports from every single shop to the main PC system at the HQ. This is a completely new solution which was not in their previous system.
