What was the intention with Broadfield Hotel?

The previous cash register system was very old and inflexible. The screens were difficult to read, the machines were awkward and slow to operate and it was difficult to change the pricing. The system did not link into the hotel property management system.

Proposals to Broadfield Hotel:

UK dealer proposed the QT-6000 as it was the latest technology and fitted in well with the customers' requirements. The dealer proposed a linked system to the Hospitality Technology front desk software as it would eliminate missed bar and restaurant charges were apparent with their present system. In addition the use of the Casio back office Hospitality Software was proposed for stock control, as well as simplifying the maintenance of the QT-6000's.

How did GV Gowland and Son's introduce Casio QT-6000?

The Broadfield hotel had previously purchased equipment from GV Gowland and Son's and so the dealer understood the hotels business requirements. They were aware that the hotel required a new cash register system and so proposed the CASIO solution to meet the hotels business requirements.

Improvement of Broadfield Hotel after using the CASIO product

The QT-6000 system, linked into the Hotec software has allowed many improvements to be made to the way the hotel operates. The general speed and ease of operations for staff has improved, and large function groups can now be served in a shorter period of time, increasing the amount of sales made.

Hotel guest room charges can now appear directly on the customer’s room charge, which has increased the hotels revenue as there are no more lost room charges. It has also speed up the check-out process.

Changes to prices are now simple and can be performed at any time without waiting until the end of the day. The variable pricing functionality within the QT-6000 has allowed the Broadfield hotel to automatically charge different prices for food at lunch time than dinner time, allowing them to target different markets at these different times of day.
